We Southern Agrocraft (pvt) Ltd is an organization established to produce and export natural coconut fiber based product using helpless rural woman living in Southern area of Sri Lanka. Main objective is to introduce new employments and improve livelihood of recipients. We have produced and exported natural coconut fiber garden pots and coir compost discs to our customer (importer) in UK since 2007. We have submitted our ethical information and certificates for ethical audit purpose in several times to them since 2007 to obtain jobs from their customers. We have exported approximately one million of coir pots + discs (sets) to UK per year. More than 60% of our exports were 8cm coco pots and 50mm coir composed discs. These pots + discs were sold as garden gift sets in UK and USA. As this was ethically qualified business and ensure fair free trade, we could introduce new employments and improve livelihood of over 50 direct employees and more indirect employees. Total dependents were over 400.
