In the city of Tubize near to Brussels we make handmade sweets according to an old family recipe. At the end of 1800 Vincent Fach and his two brothers went to Geneva to learn the craftsmanship of confectioner. There he could see how the sweets were made. Many years later, in 1935, after his return to Aarlen in Belgium, he succeeded to recreate the recipe. These sweets didn?t only have a fantastic taste; they also helped curing throat and cough troubles. There success raised until some pharmacists in this part of the country saw some competition and sealed there whole stock. After the death of the manufacturer his wife took over the business. During the war sugar became scarce, but people brought there own sugar to trade with these do good sweets. After the war, the daughter Lucette Fach and her husband Armand Craps, originating from Halle, would take over the business. From this moment on, the sweets were being divided via great stock markets like these of Brussels and Charleroi... At age, but in great shape Armand keeps on manufacturing with the help of his daughter. The old-fashioned machines and the passionate will of continuation of his craft made him decide to give the recipes and processes in hands of his niece Pascale and her husband Peter.
