Sunshine Agro Products Ltd is a Social Enterprise founded in Uganda in 2007 by Pamela Anyoti Peronaci in collaboration with an investor ? JHB International Trade and Finance of Belgium (1959). The aim of the company is to promote ?agriculture as a business? for the rural people. The company started its operations in N.E. Uganda in an effort support rural people recover from atrocities of the civil war caused by Kony?s Lord Resistance Army which had disastrous effect on the livelihoods of most Ugandan rural communities. These rural communities depend on agriculture for their livelihoods. The founders being strong believers in the need to boost rural economies through direct investments, invested capital directly into agriculture through ?contract farming? and this has helped to increase production, productivity and created rural employment especially for the youth and women - guaranteeing them sustainable incomes.
